CGS is seeking a mid-level Java developer to join a development project for a large federal client. This project is expected to run for approximately 6-9 months with the chance for additional project(s) following this opportunity.
Job functions may include:
- Develop Java Applications.
- Develop, Enhance, Customize, Support, and Maintain code as per design and coding standards.
- Participate in design and information flow sessions.
- Develop, update, and maintain unit test cases.
- Collaborate with the requirements team for product enhancements and implementations.
Required skills, knowledge, and abilities include:
- 3+ years in Java development
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other related Engineering fields
- Experience with Agile framework and methodologies
- Experience working in continuous integration and continuous deployment systems (CICD)
- Ability to think creatively and work independently on complex development tasks
- Proven ability to solve complex technical and business problems
- Must have strong work ethics, career goals, and accomplishments
- Strong listening, written, and verbal skills
THE FOLLOWING SKILLS ARE PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:
- Document generation and management
- Experience with Government software development policies and procedures.
- Client facing communication experience
- Federal Agency issued security clearance
