Who will you work with? This cloud infrastructure automation engineering team consists of a team lead/manager and small group of software engineers. Cross collaboration with other engineering teams inside our larger cloud infrastructure organization include deployment, datacenter, network, and capacity engineering teams. Cross collaboration with other engineering teams outside our organization will be necessary as well, but not daily.
What are some exciting problems you'll be working on? Automation of large scale VCF on VxRail and Kubernetes infrastructure bootstrap using design source of truth data. Use design automation to drive deployment and datacenter activities and improve zero touch provisioning to the point of standing up clusters in private cloud environments.
Where can you make an impact? Project schedule times being reduced by eliminating manual steps for large scale VCF on VxRail and Kubernetes infrastructure bootstrap. Elimination of human errors during deployment phases on private cloud infrastructure for VMs and Containers.
Guide in the development of infrastructure tests, validation and integration plans on projects and assurance of infrastructure integrity.
Automate VCF/VxRail deployments and handoff to platform operators.
Effectively communicate engineering solutions through detailed high and low-level diagrams.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Automation and provisioning of cloud infrastructure across multi-national data centers.
Share your technical insight with the team, demo items such as CI/CD, automation toolsets and frameworks.
Collaborate and participate in conversations with various teams to brainstorm new insights and ways to improve infrastructure automation.
A flexible work environment
Strong skills with automation, preferably Ansible
Experience with Object Oriented Programming languages such as Python, Go (GoLang)
Hands-on experience with using source control: Git, GitHub
5+ years of software development experience
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance.
Hands-on with VxRail/VCF standup, both manual and automated.
Experience with Hardware Bootstrap Automation
Infrastructure and configuration as code solutions, including Terraform, Ansible, or cloud-init
Server virtualization, containers (VMware, Kubernetes)

Relevant Work Experience
Pay Range: $100,475.81 - $150,713.72
Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
