Piper Enterprise Solutions is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join a leading consulting firm in the Maryland/Washington D.C. through a mainly REMOTE POSITION. The Data Engineer will help build modern data products that comprise of data lakes and cleansed data repositories.


Responsibilities for Data Engineer:



  • Work with stakeholders to build various data acquisition initiatives

  • Contribute to the data pipeline development: brainstorming, coding, bug fixing

  • Design data services/pipelines to AWS

  • Create different approaches to help support continuous process automation for data ingestion

  • Formulate a proof of concept that will with the evaluation and recommendation to various stakeholders




Requirements for the Data Engineer:



  • 3+ years of professional job experience

  • Develop SQL or Python data pipelines

  • Experience with modern data orchestration tools like DBT, Apache, AWS Glue, NiFi, and Airflow

  • Experience with test-driven code and GitLab code development practices

  • Understanding of CloudFormation or Terraform




Compensation for the Data Engineer:



  • Salary between $55-60/hr depending on experience

  • Benefits include Medical, Dental/Vision, 401K, Paid Time Off (PTO), and Holidays
