What we are looking for...

We are looking for a senior engineering manager who has the capacity and desire to help the engineering organization on a path to fast product cycles and exciting launches. Ideal candidates will have a good balance of technical and management skills as well as experience and passion for building and improving amazing teams that deliver great products.

What you'll do...

• Contribute to the engineering team's' long-term vision and strategy
• Build and manage high-performance teams
• Drive good engineering practices within your teams
• Contribute to the continuous evolution of the engineering process
• Plan engineering projects and oversee their running, including providing supervision and guidance to the engineers, and proper alignment with other teams and managers, so projects are efficient and delivered on time
• Drive discussions with 3rd-party companies regarding systems integration
• Plan, coordinate and oversee the engineering activities within your teams
• Negotiate requirements and deadlines with software engineers, product managers, and stakeholders
• Lead the process of designing technical solutions with engineers and designers
• Report the state of projects and risks in their execution
• Reduce team friction and remove blockers to allow software engineers to focus on their work
• Coordinate releases with product managers
• Develop and implement initiatives to nurture teams motivation and growth
• Hire staff and oversee new team members onboarding
• Promote proper communication and collaboration within the team
• Provide continuous feedback to team members
• Individually discuss engineers' career objectives and act as a facilitator to help them achieve their goals
• Run periodic performance reviews and regular 1:1 meetings
• Plan and lead Agile ceremonies such as dailies, plannings, refinements and retros

What you will bring...

• 3+ years of hands-on software development experience
• 5+ years of Agile management experience
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices
• An understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms and how to apply them to design pragmatic solutions
• A background in delivering web-based products
• Excitement for the challenge of trying something new
• The ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, communicate effectively, and remain open to feedback from people in a variety of disciplines
• The ability to intermediate different interests
• A life-long learning mindset- always growing as an engineering manager
• Soft skills for effective leadership and mentoring
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time;

Perks & Benefits

• Salary: $80,000-$140,000
• 21 annual paid days off
