UI Engineer job in Remote | Mondoo

Mondoo is creating a new way that helps companies keep their users and data safe from hackers around the world. We believe that a great user experience and visual design will help our users to love and enjoy our product and make it easier to take action against attackers.
You’ll be working closely with our users, customers, and the product and engineering teams to create an amazing user experience. We believe in finding simplicity in an increasingly complex industry and bringing some joy back to our users’ work.

The opportunity

Mondoo’s UI is currently targeting two major sets of capabilities. Firstly, we are looking to overhaul our visualization of customer infrastructure and configuration. It is important for users to quickly add, see, and understand how their fleet is doing. Great visualization is vital to help communicate it.
Second, we are adding ways to search the entire fleet in real-time. Ultimately, our users want to quickly slice and dice their environments to get answers to their most pressing questions.

The technology

Our UI is built on React, using Typescript, Material-UI, and styled components. Backend communication is handled in GraphQL. For some of the more advanced visualizations we are using d3.js.

To succeed

You’ll need experience in building comprehensive web UIs. Knowing React is a big plus, as well as Typescript. Additional knowledge in d3.js or similar frameworks for visualization is a big advantage, as is experience in creating responsive and interactive charts and graphs. Optional experience in effective state and event management, graphql, page rendering and load optimization, and integration testing is very welcome. Feel free to share some of your work!
