This involves but is not limited to communicating with the customer to assess their needs, physically installing hardware on the customer's site, fine-tuning of software/hardware, testing the hardware to ensure it is working as intended and re-visiting sites to adjust the hardware, as required.
- Supporting the Solution Architecture team by taking a deep dive into customer requirements and the nuance of their applications to provide critical design recommendations and ideas.
- Analyse acoustic signals using data analysis techniques including Distributed Fibre Sensing instruments.Present key insights of data analysis to the team with the aim of improving detection effectiveness.
- Writing code for new detectors to automate event detections and alarms.
- Provide first line engineering support via email and phone to our 24x7 network operations team.
- Maintain technical documentation and deployment information. This involves continuously looking for ways to improve our ways of working and documenting any new successful methods or techniques.
