Job Description
Merkle is looking for experienced Google Cloud professionals (GCP) to be part of its Cloud practice. You will be working on GCP Cloud to design, develop, and implement DevOps best practices for next generation Marketing solutions leveraging Cloud native and Commercial/Open Source technologies. You will be leveraging key Devops Technologies like GKE to implement the solution.
Key Responsibilities As a GCP Cloud DevOps Engineer, you need to have
- Designing and implementing collaborated solutions on GCP.
- GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine) Architecture, Deployment & Operations experience
- Experience with implementing and testing GKE security Policy
- Experience in automating Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery and Agile practices for a highly scalable systems
- Provide problem resolution, reviewing and recommending process and procedure improvements, and facilitating communication between the Operations Teams and the Developers or Product Owners.
- Infrastructure automation through DevOps scripting (E.g. shell, Python, Ruby, PowerShell).
- Configuration management using tools such as Chef and Puppet.
- Experience with Infrastructure automation (Terraform, Cloud formation) is a plus
- Participate in creating new services capabilities, productized solution offerings and document
- Participate in technical engagements such as Proof of Concepts, project delivery for key strategic opportunities.
Qualifications
- 3+ Years Experience with DevOps related automation tools to include, but not limited to: source mgmt (e.g. GIT, CodeCommit); continuous integration (e.g. Terraform, Jenkins, Jarvis), application configuration management (e.g. Chef, Puppet, Ansible) and container management tools (e.g. Docker, AWS ECS, Kubernetes), Infrastructure as a code
- 3+ years experience Designing and implementing collaborated solutions on GCP
- 3+ years experience with orchestrating GCP Virtual Machine deployments in an enterprise setting
- 2+ years Experience with designing, implementing, automation, migration GKE applications.
- Hands on experience and knowledge of Kubernetes architecture and operations
- Hands-on experience setting up end to end DevOps framework
- Proven experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative methodologies required
- Leading Cloud Certificated, preferred (demonstrating a proficiency to optimally architect a compute, storage, security environment and leverage Cloud automation services).
- 1-2 years of experience in DevOps environments instrumenting continuous integration (CI), deployment (CD) and, ideally, infrastructure as code (IAC)
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, making decisions based upon priorities, schedules and an understanding of business initiatives
- Ability to apply critical thinking to all aspects of the position
- Detail oriented with excellent documentation skills/methodologies, who is able to successfully manage multiple priorities

The anticipated salary range for this position is $94,000-$146,000. Salary is based on a wide range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
